WHAT is #DAMfest

#DAMfest is a decentralized arts festival taking place July 6th -10th, 2023. DAM celebrates its one year anniversary with a special global celebration of art, artists, collectors and builders working on Solana, Tezos and Ethereum.

Everything kicks off the evening of July 6th with a special twitter space outlining the schedule, how #DAMfest works and ways to get involved in the festivities

All work made during #DAMfest will be included in a special edition of DAM zine, a free PDF that serves as a directory to the artists participating. The zine links out to the artist to aid discovery.

All art made during #DAMfest is owned by the artists. The way you collect the art is directly from the artists participating in the festival.

How to participate as an artist

Starting July 6th - 10th mint a 1/1 or multiple edition on any chain/marketplace you like.

Add #DAMfest to the meta data (title, description, tags - you decided.) It helps aid discovery on various marketplaces and also connects you to the historic event.

Price however you like - we recommend making your art accessible.

APPLY TO HOST A #DAMfest satellite event

#DAMfest is decentralized and open to those who wish to self-organize a satellite event. These events are designed and run by the community. They are self-organized and an opportunity to build community, connect with artists/collectors, bring new people into the ecosystem and have fun.

Satellite events are solely the responsibility of the person organizing them and must adhere to the ethos and philosophy of DAM zine. DAM zine is not responsible for the organization, funding, and production of these satellite events. In order to be included in the festival schedule (which will be distributed by DAM and fellow collaborators) the proposed event must meet the following guidelines.

1. Be accessible
2. Celebrate decentralized art
3. Encourage community and connection
4. Encourage creativity
5. Provide opportunities for art making & collecting

Examples of possible satellite events

• host a gallery show
• take art into unexpected places (project onto buildings)
• hold a community art making event or meetup
• organize panel discussions, fireside chats, workshops and/or masterclasses
• Live performances that mix art making, music, DJs, VJs etc
• Use your imagination to organize events that inspire creative collaborative acts of art making
